Jay Leno and I talk about Social Media

jay-lenoI’m in Vegas and I told myself I wouldn’t blog this weekend but I have to make an exception for this.  Tonight I went to the Jay Leno’s show as he was touring across country and was fortunate enough to have really good seats.   As usual, he went on with his jokes and then started to interact with the audience about different things.  He then called out on my fiance, Liddy Cooper, who works at Barclay’s Wealth.

After conversing with her, he asked me if I was in finance too.  I told him “No, social media.”  He then asked “Is that even a real job?…40% of Twitter is useless babble, and the other 60% of Twitter is really useless babble.”  For someone who has over 7000 Twitter followers (@nbcjay) and just twittered 12 hours ago, I guess that just proves that Jay obviously doesn’t believe in the power of social media.

I would like to say I was fortunate to have recorded the video below but the part you can’t see is him asking me to to turn off my camera on my iPhone.  He lost his train of thought and essentially blamed his skit mishap on my twittering.  Kind of funny…until I got booed by about 500 people in the audience.  Anyways, the video is below.  It’s a cool 30 second video and was worth the public humiliation!

Jay Leno, boo hoo, Twitter rocks!
